Kamehameha Schools Alumni Association
O`ahu Region

Aloha mai kakou,

Greetings from the O`ahu Region of the Kamehameha Schools Alumni Association.  2008 is here and your alumni association is busy with all kinds of activities this year.  Our board of directors is comprised by a good cross-section of members from the 1960’s to the class of 2000.  Please take a minute to get to know your board – I’ve listed them for your convenience.

The fall focused on our participation in Founder’s Day events including Ali`i Sunday at Kawaiaha`o Church on December 16th and Mauna`ala services on Ke Ali`i Pauahi’s birthday, December 19.  It’s always great to gather with the Kamehameha `ohana to remember and honor our founder.

O`ahu Region is partnering with Kapalama campus Character Education department by cooking for the homeless in February & March.  Our second annual Career Fair will be held at a new location this year, Windward Mall.  And, we’ll close out our year with a service project of cleaning Mauna`ala in May.  Please check out the complete calendar of activities and see if your schedule will allow you to lend your kokua.

Finally, consider getting involved in the leadership of the region by running for an office.  You’ll have that opportunity shortly as nominations will be open for board vacancies.  We will be looking for a 1st Vice President, Corresponding Secretary, Treasurer, and two (2) Directors.

Mahalo for your support – we look forward to seeing you at one of our activities.

`O wau no,
Steve Reelitz ‘73
President
